The stubborn art of being human: A symposium on AI, students, and the future of higher education

The Australian Technology Network of Universities proudly presents the The stubborn art of being human: A symposium on AI, students, and the future of higher education – a free in-person and online event on Thursday, 19 November from 11:00am – 4:30pm (AEDT).
In the 2025 ATN symposium on GenAI: Graduate skills and employability we heard that it was important to be brave, be bold, and be curious and that GenAI was a technology to augment, not replace, human skills.
In 2026, 18 months on, panels consisting of diverse students, experts from across our institutions, and industry, will share their experiences and insights – and engage in a provocative debate – to inform the future of AI in higher education.
Be sure to join the ATN team and our guests as we navigate this ever-changing landscape and hear how we can prepare the graduates of tomorrow for the workforce of the future.
