Lucinda Longcroft

Director of Policy and Government Affairs, Tech Council of Australia

Lucinda Longcroft is Director of Policy and Government Affairs for the Tech Council of
Australia. She advises on technology policy, regulatory strategy and corporate affairs,
particularly on issues related to artificial intelligence, data and digital transformation in
Australia and globally.

Formerly, Lucinda was Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy for Google in
Australia and New Zealand, where she led engagement with governments on critical digital
policy issues including the News Media Bargaining Code, online safety and emerging AI
regulation. She previously served for over two decades at the United Nations, including as
Head of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Office in New York, shaping
international frameworks for intellectual property and innovation and working with
government leaders across Australia, Europe and the United States.


Lucinda is an international lawyer, admitted to practice in New York and New South Wales,
holds a Masters in International Law from the University of Cambridge and a teaching
diploma in speech and communication and is a member of the Australian Institute for
Company Directors.
