Dr Alek Voninski

As Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global), Dr Voninski looks after global partnerships, transnational education, international relations, student exchange and alumni relations for the University of Newcastle.  

Dr Voninski has over 25 years of work experience across the Asia-Pacific international education ecosystem, including English language assessment (ETS TOEFL), government and partner relations (IDP Education), and global partnership development and student recruitment (UNSW). As well, he studied and worked in China and Japan for over a decade across a range of education institutions. 

Dr Voninski is a graduate of the University of Sydney Law School and undertook his doctoral research at the University of Southern California (USC). He is a Senior Fellow with IEAA and a member of the national research committee on international education.
