
Sam Perkins
Senior Advisor, Policy
Sam Perkins is an experienced policy analyst and advisor with ATN Universities’ Policy Team, delivering policy projects that support our engagement and advocacy activities.
Sam has worked in higher education policy for 8 years across the public and private sectors. He worked in regulatory assessment and policy at the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA)and is a former higher education specialist at Deloitte Access Economics. Sam has worked as a research assistant for Prof Andrew Norton on his “Mapping Australian Higher Education” publication and with A/Prof Gwil Croucher on costing delivery of education.
Sam holds a Graduate Diploma which delivered a minor thesis examining the impact of the Dawkins reforms on university discourses of purpose, and is currently undertaking a PhD in education policy at the University of Melbourne’s Centre for the Study of Higher Education.
