The Australian Technology Network of Universities (ATN) congratulates the Australian Labor Party on their victory at the federal election and wishes Anthony Albanese every success as he becomes Australia’s 31^st Prime Minister.

ATN looks forward to working with the new Government closely, as we have with previous Labor governments.

As Australia’s most innovative and enterprising universities, with a shared objective of excellence and inclusion, ATN universities are ready to partner with the new Labor Government on delivering their vision for a fairer and more aspirational society.

Strong universities provide access and opportunity and generate new ideas and innovations which will be key to meeting this challenge.

ATN also eagerly awaits the formal announcement of the new Minister for Education so that together we can work on the pressing issues facing our sector, such as creating a fair and balanced funding system, embracing new opportunities in the Asia-Pacific, and building our local industries and skill base.
