2024 Australian Museum Eureka Prize Winners

Congratulations are in order for our Eureka Prize Winners, with three representatives of our ATN Universities winning the sought after and highly competitive awards. 

Today we are celebrating the work of Distinguished Professor Calum Drummond AO from RMIT University who won the Eureka Prize for Leadership in Science. Prof Drummond has long been recognised within the RMIT community and the broader community for his contributions to research efficacy and innovation. A clear theme of ATN Universities commitment to supporting leaders in the sector was reinforced in the awards, with Dr Jiao Jiao Li from the University of Technology Sydney winning the Eureka Prize for Emerging Leaders in Science. The Celestino Eureka Prize for Promoting Understanding of Science was awarded to Professor Euan Ritchie from Deakin University. Professor Ritchie has been recognised for his commitment to broadening public knowledge of environmental challenges including climate change and the extinction crisis through diverse policy and communication means. Check out his story here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzIMt96cx40
