From ATN Executive Director, Luke Sheehy:

The Australian Technology Network of Universities (ATN) welcomes the Hon Alan Tudge MP to the higher education portfolio in his new role as Minister for Education and Youth and congratulates outgoing Education Minister, the Hon Dan Tehan MP on his appointment as Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment.

During his time as Minister for Education, Dan Tehan has worked closely with ATN, successfully shaping a range of regulatory and funding reforms in the higher education and research sector. We acknowledge his consultative and inclusive approach in driving greater participation in higher education, particularly for regional and First Nations students.

ATN looks forward to continuing to work with Minister Tehan on the important issue of international education within his new portfolio. ATN would also like to acknowledge and thank Senator the Hon Simon Birmingham for his work in the Trade portfolio, and we look forward to engaging with him on education matters in his central agency portfolio of Finance.

ATN also appreciates the opportunity to work with the Hon Alex Hawke MP, the incoming Minister for Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant Services and Multicultural Affairs, and to continue our work with the Hon Karen Andrews MP, Minister for Industry, Science and Technology, and Senator the Hon Michaelia Cash, Minister for Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business.
