This module considers an array of practices and mindsets to enable leaders to thrive both now and into the future. You will conceptualise your own leadership values and purpose, then undertake steps towards practical application.

Topic 1: The Challenges Ahead for Leadership
Leaders of today and tomorrow face an increasingly complex world. This topic explores key emerging features of our world so that leaders can strategically consider and plan around the aspects that will impact those around them.

Topic 2: Strategy, Futurecasting and Research
A significant amount of a leader’s work relates to preparing those around them for the future. In this topic, we consider concrete practices that leaders can employ to proactively do this. We also consider the role of research in these strategic considerations, reflecting on the role of your own research in this context.

Topic 3: Leadership and You
Good leadership is enabled when you’re grounded in what it means to be a leader, and what you regard as your own leadership cornerstones. In this topic, we focus on your own specific understandings of leadership – including missions and metaphors that guide your individual leadership practice.
