The ATN Planning and Quality group has as its focus, the systems, data and information that support quality assurance and improvement of all aspects of our activities. By sharing information about our quality processes and performance measures and through benchmarking for improvement, we contribute to ATN effectiveness, efficiency and capacity to innovate.
The group’s current interests are: the impact and outcomes of AUQA’s first round of audits, qualitative and quantitative measures of institutional performance and responding to student feedback on their experiences.

In 2003, the
group undertook a project that involved benchmarking student feedback
surveys across the five institution. The project made 12 recommendations for
further activities and improvement that are being actioned as appropriate.
One outcome is being addressed through ATN involvement with a number of other universities in a Higher Education Innovation Programme (HEIP) project (originally envisaged as an ATN project) on CEQuery software. The software collates and analyses qualitative information collected through Graduate Careers Australia’s Course Experience Questionnaire.
