Our context: Women and leadership in Australian higher education
ATN WEXDEV as a program aims to improve the situation for women in Australian universities, particularly at senior level. The statistics on Women Staff show the low numbers and proportion of women in senior positions - although as the attached DEST figures show there has been an improvement since 1996. Like WEXDEV the Colloquium (described below) aims to improve the situation. The AVCC Action Plan for Women 2006-10 is currently being drafted.
