Appointments provide a foundation for future TEQSA

Professor Denise Bradley, Interim TEQSA Chair

The ATN has welcomed the recent appointment of former ATN Chair and Vice Chancellor, University of South Australia, Emeritus Professor Denise Bradley to the position of interim Chair of TEQSA.

Commenting on the appointment, ATN Chair, Professor Ross Milbourne said, “the ATN has long advocated the establishment of a national regulatory body and believe it is the best way forward to ensure excellence in Australian universities. The international reputation of Australia for high-quality tertiary education is vital, not just because education is one of our largest exports, but because the soundness of the country's education system underpins our economy, society and cultural life.”

Professor Bradley is well known and respected by the sector for her extensive experience, both as a former ATN Vice Chancellor and as Chair of the
Review of Australian Higher Education
