On 4 November 2011, the ATN & Go8 conducted a one-day Symposium Excellence in Innovation: Measuring the innovation dividend bringing together a broad range of stakeholders in the Australian R&D sector to discuss the ability of Australian universities to assess reliably the full innovation dividend of research output.

The outcomes of the Symposium will inform the design and implementation of the joint ATN-Go8 Excellence in Innovation (EIA) trial exercise to assess the innovation dividend of research.
