new publication bringing together a decade of the Clare Burton Memorial Lectures
is now available.
The Promise and the Price. Ten Years of the Clare Burton Memorial Lectures features the work of leading Australian and international academics, writers and activists : Rosemary Hunter, Jocelynne Scutt, Belinda Probert, Moira Rayner, Louise Morley, Larissa Behrendt, Alison Mackinnon, Barbara Pocock, Sara Charlesworth and Daniela Stehlink. The lectures address gender equity issues in the workplace and wider society, building upon Clare Burton’s legacy.
The book represents a significant contribution to the national and international body of research in this field.

New ATN WEXDEV Reports
- A review of the Clare Burton Memorial Scholarship - Where are they now? The Clare Burton Scholarships from 2002 to 2008 is now available. The review looks at the impact of the ATN WEXDEV Clare Burton Scholarship on the eight people who have received the Scholarship since its inception in 2002. It provides information on recipients fields of study, how they used the funds, and the benefits they derived from the Scholarship, in relation to their research and careers.

- Home Grown: An Evaluation of ATN WEXDEV Leadership Programs for Senior Women 2003 to 2008 is now available. This report looks at six years of the groundbreaking WEXDEV leadership program for senior women to see how effective it has been in meeting its objectives, what impact it has had on participants and their universities and what it’s future might look like.

ATN WEXDEV international conference Change in Climate? Prospects for gender equity in universities
In April 2006 the ATN WEXDEV international conference Change in Climate? Prospects for gender equity in universities brought together 140 people from 18 countries.
36 of the papers presented are available on a fully-refereed CD-ROM. This includes excellent papers on strategic issues such as the representation of women in senior positions, strategies for getting to senior positions and women, research and promotion, on institutional initiatives such as women's leadership programs and reports from developing countries in Africa, Asia and the Pacific and challenges and opportunities including organisational constraints, new technology, generational change and work/home conflict.
The CD-ROM is available from the WEXDEV National Office for $10.00 postage and packing.
