Our context: Women and leadership in Australian higher education
ATN WEXDEV as a program aims to improve the situation for women in Australian universities, particularly at senior level. The statistics on Women Staff show the low numbers and proportion of women in senior positions - although as the attached DEST figures show there has been an improvement since 1996. Like WEXDEV the Universities Australia Executive Women (UAEW) group aims to improve the situation. The UAEW Strategy for Women 2011-2014 was released in November 2010.
