The Australian Technology Network of Universities (ATN) delivers Australia's first industry-collaborative doctoral training centre, the Industry Doctoral Training Centre (IDTC).
The IDTC is designed to bridge intellectual and leadership potential with
the needs of Australian industry, producing a new generation of
independent researchers whose discoveries influence and impact across academic,
scientific and industrial boundaries. Click on the brochure picture on

With seed funding from the Commonwealth Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education the IDTC is initially offered in Mathematical & Statistical Sciences from 2012 at each ATN University.
Mathematics and Statistics are areas where fundamental advances have produced an array of sophisticated analytical tools with far reaching applications, ranging from bioinformatics through climate change to engineering, public health econometrics and finance.
The IDTCs focal areas of multidisciplinary research collaborations are aligned with Australia’s National Research Priorities of an environmentally sustainable Australia, promoting and maintaining good health, frontier technologies for building and transforming Australian industries, and safeguarding Australia.
