Regular communication between collaborators is critical for the success of a virtual centre, especially one which extends across the nation.
Hence the ATN Centre for Metabolic Fitness has, in addition to its continuous electronic communication and information sharing, an annual networking forum which brings together all researchers in the centre including post doctoral scientists and graduate research students, as well as other leading researchers and industry professionals from all over the country.
The forum offers centre members an opportunity to critically review the progress of ongoing research projects and the structure of their research portfolio, to give public presentations of research highlights and to plan future directions through informal networking.
The 2006 Annual Networking Forum was held on Saturday 2nd September at the Sofitel Hotel Brisbane. A big thank you to Andrew Hills and his QUT team for all of their efforts in making the forum a great success.
