Major interest is in the fields of photocatalysts and nanostructured materials including:
● Photocatalysts of supported noble metal nanoparticles
● TiO2 nanofibre photocatalysts.
● Synthesis of one dimensional inorganic nanostructures (including nanorods of anatase, copper oxide, rare earth oxides, iron oxide and niobate by hydrothermal reactions)
● Ceramic filtration membranes of nanofibres for separating biomolecules
● Intelligent sorbents for removal of radioactive ions from polluted water
