The NanoNetwork will provide support for ATN and ISTA nano-researchers seeking complementary research skills in the focus areas of health care, renewable energy and the environment. Researchers will thus be able to ‘more effectively attack’ research questions usually beyond their own capabilities.
The NanoNetwork will also assist researchers to build and manage research projects involving innovative researcher skill mixes. Given that the ‘research question’ will drive the researcher skill mix it is likely that the NanoNetwork will evolve collaborative projects involving traditional research disciplines in the social as well as natural and physical sciences and engineering.
The NanoNetwork, via the ATN and ISTA, will also provide opportunities for ‘research receivers’, those in industry for example seeking research solutions, to work with NanoNetwork researchers and co-ordinators towards the development of, and their engagement with, focussed and well managed research teams.
